What do you guys say to sell the product?
Brian: That the orthotic can be molded to your foot, once
you step on it. If you have a high arch, if you have a low arch,
if you have a medium arch, it will custom fit to any shape of
a foot.
SOLE: What do you think really sells it for you?
Brian: What pushes it over the top is the 90-day guarantee
and the 2-year warranty.
SOLE: Now, you guys have an oven in your store?
Brian: We do have an oven in our store.
SOLE: And how does that work for you?
Brian: It works great. To put the insole in the customers'
shoe and have the customer stand up in your store and to hear
them go "ahhhhh" -- you know you've done your job right.
SOLE: Yeah, when they step into the warm, kind of, putty?
Brian: Exactly.
SOLE: And how many fittings do you think you do a day?
Brian: Probably about 2 or 3.
SOLE:
Do you feel that the oven has boosted your sales?
Brian: The oven has boosted our sales by at least double.
"I found
out about SOLE Custom Footbeds at the Seattle APMA show. I basically
talked to several podiatrists there, and that's how I found out
that they were having success. So, I tried it here, and they were
right. Convenience wise, it's fantastic. As far as molding and
dispensing goes, it's done within a 10-15 minute period.

We've got

I use the ultra cushioning in my cowboy boots. My wife and I go
two-stepping every so often and, instead of after the evening
my feet and my knees are hurting, I can keep on going all night!
SOLE: Do you have them in any other shoes?
Brian: I wear them in all my shoes.
SOLE: Why is that?
Brian: Because they feel good.
SOLE: Do you do any sports?
Brian: I do some backpacking. I put them in my hiking boots
and it does make a difference.
SOLE: What's the best tip that you tell people about when
you're talking about the product?
Brian: Best tip is the cushioning. It adds extra cushioning
and the custom moldable feature is really nice.
SOLE: What about the arch support?
Brian: I love the arch support. Most arch supports are
fixed - you can't really adjust them in any way, but when you
put the molding process on there it really helps!
