Success for our Royal Marines
I write with regards to complimenting you on a recent
purchase (Sole Ultra SOFTEC) I made from your website.
I have had very flat feet all my life and it has never
caused me problems up until last year.
I began getting ankle pain and serious knee pain. I found
it hard to sleep comfortably at night because the pain
would persist time and time again, after continuously
being fobbed off by my doctor with prescription after
prescription of Ibuprofen with the pain still returning,
I demanded another form of treatment.
The doctor sent me to the hospital to have scans and
a check over but the doctors there still had no idea what
the problem was, I even suggested to the hospital doctor
that it may be my flat feet but he objected saying it
cant be because he has flat feet and if it was that, then
why doesn’t he suffer the same pain as me.
The hospital referred me to physiotherapy treatment,
where finally they successfully diagnosed it, it turned
out it WAS to do with my flat feet, they are so flat that
they are twisting my legs bones inwards creating pains
in my knees. The physio gave me some exercises to perform
at home and sent me on to see a podiatrist to see what
he could do to correct this problem.
When I got my appointment after weeks of waiting for
the podiatrist, I was greatly disappointed when he told
me there was nothing I could do for this and I was to
give up all immediate activity that’s strenuous
on my feet such as running.
This was bad news for me as I was and still am training
to join the Royal Marines which requires lots of running.
I was devastated, I refused to believe that there was
nothing he could do in this modern day and age to help,
so as a long shot the podiatrist referred me to see a
gait specialist which I am still waiting for the appointment.
The other thing he suggested was insoles, but he told
me it was a long shot and he doubted it would work, so
off he sent me with nothing more than a speech on how
my feet are causing the pain and a referral.
I came home disappointed and depressed that my training
had all been in vain and that I would never be able to
join the Royal Marines down to the fact that according
to the podiatrist I could never do anything physically
demanding on my feet again.
In desperation I did a search on http://www.mfat.co.uk/
and came up with a recommendation for the insoles on your
site.
I was sceptical but more so desperate so I gave it a
try and was pleasantly surprised.
Not only was the price cheap, it was also easy to buy
and I received the product the very next day which meant
I could give them a try as soon as.
I was unquestionably impressed, they were easy to mould,
and you can feel the difference straight away. Not wanting
to rant on about how good they were yet, I decided I needed
to give them a good testing, I wore them in work where
I’m on my feet non-stop for 9 hours+, there WAS
a big difference, I was nowhere near in as much pain as
I used to be, a slight ache but it was nothing at all.
I have worn them whilst exercising both in heavy sparring
and frequent running 3 times a week, amazingly I can see
a vast difference, my running is now not as sore, I have
actually increased in distance run and time too (this
isn’t directly due to your insoles but the fact
that they have taken away the pains I was experiencing
indirectly resulting in this positive outcome). Best of
all its easily swappable into any shoe I am wearing, from
running shoes into work boots and so forth.
Overall your company is one of the best, if not THE best
company I have ever dealt with for efficiency, ease, product
value and effect it is having on my life.
I would certainly recommend it to anyone like myself
with flat feet, severe knee pain, even if your doctor
doesn’t recommend them, what’s the harm in
trying, my doctor said there’s little chance it
would work for me and I’m actually better off now
than I was before. The pain generally now is very infrequent
to almost nothing where as before it was a constant ache.
I can see myself buying more as time goes on.
So after this long rant I would like to say THANKS to
everyone at yoursole.co.uk, you been a tremendous help
to me.
Kind regards
Dan
