Here is what James Corrigan had to say after the 2006 Marathon des Sables:

“Amazingly I finished the race with no blisters! Pretty much all competitors suffered MAJOR problems from day 1 and by the end of the week many are reduced to hobbling in agony. I looked after my feet; washing talcing and moisturising them and changing socks each day and also wore trainers 1 size to big to accommodate the swelling, but I've no doubt my ULTRA footbeds played a big part in preventing any problems with my feet.”
